This curriculum is intended for Alabama Community Providers who are certified by the Alabama Department of Mental Health to provide services to individuals with Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorders, or Developmental Disabilities. Coursework is completed under the supervision of a NDP-MAS Approved Nurse working in an ADMH certified community program.
The curriculum contains the six courses that require a 90% final exam score for successful completion. The Nurse Delegation Program's Medication Assistance Certification 1 (MAC 1) courses are as follows:

2. Principles for Working with Persons with Mental Disorders
3. Mental and Physical Disorders
4. Health Status Observations
5. First Aid, Infection Control and Principles of Assisting with Medications
6. Medication Assistance Guidelines
