Introduction to Pediatric Rehab for SLPs

This course is designed for speech-language pathologists new to working in pediatric settings. Learners will understand the unique roles and responsibilities of providing therapy to children, including understanding the child’s and caregivers’ needs and clear communication with the care team. The requirements of all players involved in providing care are reviewed, including school systems, insurance providers such as Medicaid, and community resources to support a continuum of care for the child.

This course provides speech-language pathologists with an introduction to assessing and treating children in post-acute care settings.
