Navigating Ethical Challenges: Psychologists

As standards have evolved, psychologists have found innovative ways to meet the needs of those they serve. They have done this while at the same time being mindful of their commitment to the ethics code (Chenneville & Schwartz-Mette, 2020). The potential actions a psychologist may take in their professional role are often viewed as “grey areas” in terms of the ethics involved. In other words, the majority of actions that psychologists may choose are based on complex judgment calls where specific, absolute guidance is lacking.
