Instructor: Elizabeth Kellerman, MSN, RN
Elizabeth Kellerman, MSN, RN worked as a critical care nurse in an Intensive Care Unit of a community hospital and that experience provided significant training in caring for older adults. Her experience and knowledge led her to nursing education where she taught at a community college as she received her Master's in Nurse Education at Western Carolina University. As a nursing instructor, she spent time in many types of care settings including medical-surgical inpatient and community living centers. Her passion for education and training has most recently led her to a position as Subject Matter Expert and Curriculum Designer for Relias.
Subject Matter Expert: Deborah Flowers, MSN, CPNP-PC
Deborah Flowers, MSN, CPNP-PC, is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who works as a program coordinator/nurse consultant for the North Carolina Child Medical Evaluation Program (NCCMEP). The NCCMEP is a collaborative program between the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) Department of Pediatrics and the NC State Division of Social Services and provides expert medical consultation to all county Department of Social Services in North Carolina with respect to the medical aspects of child abuse and neglect evaluations. Ms. Flowers also is a clinical assistant professor with the UNC-CH School of Medicine - Department of Pediatrics and adjunct clinical assistant professor with the UNC-CH School of Nursing. She has been a nurse for 29 years with 19 years in emergency nursing. The last eight years have been working in child abuse and neglect where she not only works in an administrative program but also serves as a medical consultant for the hospital child abuse team. Ms. Flowers has an extensive background in the care of sexual assault patients and develops and delivers curriculum to train nurses in caring for patients who present for care of sexual assault at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing.
Subject Matter Expert: Dorothy W. Angelini, RN, MSN
Dorothy (Dody) W. Angelini, MSN, RN has more than 30 years experience in nursing, including clinical practice in maternal and child health, public health, and continuing education. She received bachelors in nursing from Adelphi University and her masters in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Dody served as the director of maternal and child health services for the New Jersey Department of Health where she was responsible for the development of a statewide system of maternal health services in NJ. She is currently senior accreditations officer at Relias where she oversees the accreditation process for various healthcare professions.
