SLP Assessment: Common Language Disorders in Pediatric Clients

Many tools are available to assess language skills in pediatric clients. This module describes the characteristics of receptive and expressive language disorders, then outlines the process for speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to screen and evaluate children with these disorders. Learners will be able to identify optimal assessment tools based on each child’s individual characteristics, including age and presentation, and then interpret the results to develop a treatment plan.
