Prerequisite Courses for the Autism Endorsement

The Autism Endorsement was created to expand the Texas Workforce Commission, Division for Rehabilitation Services, delivery of vocational rehabilitation services to customers with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities that create barriers to obtaining or maintaining employment. To obtain the Autism Endorsement the Employment Specialist must complete the Relias courses as one of the pre-requisites to obtain the Autism Endorsement through University of North Texas Workplace Inclusion & Sustainable Employment(UNTWISE). These courses will provide foundational knowledge about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioral concepts, social skill strategies and best practices when transitioning adults into post-secondary options.
